Rota-Mill
“Since its appearance on live demonstration at Hillhead ’99, the Rotamill has been in steady production, with both static and mobile versions of this rugged hammer mill now installed in a range of demanding applications. The brainchild of Bob Taylor,
a man with over 30 years experience in the materials handling and processing industries, the Rotamill is equally at ease processing clay, steel slag, demolition rubble or reducing limestone at rates up to 200 tph.
The mobile Rotamill can be towed from site to site at normal road speeds and be back in production within five minutes while it’s modular design makes for economical operation and maintenance.”
Simplicity: Attention to detail has ensured that Rota-Mill’s modular design makes it easy to operate and maintain. Rota-Mill’s drive and aperture is hydraulically driven enabling finger-tip adjustment to output sizes and volumes.
Flexibility: Available in 600mm, 900mm and 1200mm models and either static or as an on-the-road mobile, Rota-Mill is a go (almost) anywhere, do (almost) anything crusher.
Reliability: Rota-Mill’s design simplicity has reduced moving parts to a minimum. Hydraulics control the drive and aperture. An unique safety gate prevents jamming by allowing over-size and tramp-metal to be ejected safely without interrupting the crushing operation.
Availability: When used within it’s performance parameters Rota-Mill can be on-call virtually 24/7. Wearparts, such as hammers can be replaced within minutes.
All elements of the Mobile Rota-Mill – power pack, hopper, feeder, conveyor are designed for speedy removal and replacement.
The mobile Rota-Mill, with it’s unique folding conveyor, can be hitched to a fifth wheel coupling and towed at normal road speeds from site to site without the need for special large load permits.
Once at it’s new location, Rota-Mill can be earning it’s keep again within a matter of minutes.
Economy: Wherever it is used, Rota-Mill has been proven to reduce the cost per tonne produced.
Rota-Mill has applications in several key industries
Aggregates: Whether it is a fixed site or multi-site, multi-face operation, Rota-Mill offers many advantages to the quarrying contractor. Depending on the rock being processed Rota-Mill can achieve throughputs of up to 250 tonnes per hour and produce a regular-shaped, regular-sized cubed product down to agricultural lime dust.
Demolition: In it’s mobile form, Rota-Mill is the ideal demolition contractor’s tool. Easily towed from site-site at normal road speed, Rota-Mill can be set-up and working within minutes of arrival. Rota-Mill can reduce 150mm brick, concrete or cobbles to a pre-determined size for re-use as fill or sub-base.
Recycling: Rota-Mill has found many recycling applications. From separating steel slag, turning glass waste into asphalt fill, recovering bulk cement, clay, reducing demolition rubble, etc
